Cher has been presented with a Golden Fleece. This fleece signifies allegiance and commitment to the sacrament of The Festival of The Golden Down 2012.

We did not accept this responsibility lightly and the fleece is not worn lightly, shared as the mantle is with such visionaries as the righteous Lee Scratch Perry, the cantankerous Kerri Chandler, the sagacious Gilles Paterson and High Priest Kieren Hebden aka Four Tet.

As a roaming band of fleece wearing housemen we will be bringing news of ecstasy and wonderment from the east, offering up our finest wood to the fire and pledging our sons and daughters to the Down.

We foretell that kindred flag bearers far and wide will converge on the forgotten pastures of Black Bush Valley; in a hysteric exaltation of youth and love of day and night, in the balmy heights of middle June the Festival lies, let strategies unravel and the cup spill over.

This fleece is not worn lightly.
